"One Day in Maderanertal", an exhibition in Bristen, August 2013

The set of 12 Maderanertal paintings (#37-48 from 1989-90) were shown in the Gasthaus Alpenblick, Bristen for two weeks in August. The paintings all derive from an autumn weekend, with an overnight stay in the SAC Windgällen Hut, which is shown in a couple of the pictures.

Exhibition in the Trotte Arlesheim, March 2013

Together with Hans Ackermann, a retired art teacher from Riehen, Basel, we showed 90 mountain paintings in the Trotte Museum in Arlesheim. At the opening on Friday 8 March, the visitors were welcomed with alphorn music by the Alphorngruppe Onoldswil and a fine buffet, followed by an informal viewing of the works displayed.

Our different painting styles and approach (Hans paints exclusively on-the-spot, whereas I paint in the studio from photographs), together with our focus on different geographic areas, created considerable interest and led to much discussion with visitors. The exhibition lasted for two weeks and closed on Sunday 24 March.

"The Alpine Collection" : Digital Prints and Cards

Digital fine art prints are high-quality reproductions of the original paintings and are individually printed to order. The use of UltraChromeŽ pigmented inks on pure cotton-rag artist paper enables a near-perfect rendering of the original image and exceptionally long-lasting picture quality.

The Alpine Collection is a selection of 64 images, including all the paintings shown in the recent Arlesheim exhibition, plus a number of other Swiss mountain scenes of which the originals are no longer available for sale. All images are available as large (A2) or small (A4) prints, supplied with or without passepartout, and as folded cards in format A5.

An illustrated catalogue (as PDF) with details and prices can be downloaded here.
